Who

THE BREAKDOWN

Jamie Elman (links to imdb) and Jessica Goldapple (links to imdb) first met when he was the drama counselor at their summer camp and she, at 14, did a monologue for him from Fellini’s La Strada to audition for the camp play. Three years later and much to their surprise, Jess and Jamie met again at a final callback for a FOX series. Both landed their roles and went on to shoot 65 episodes, become close friends and have the time of their lives. Since then, their combined credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm, CSI:NY, Without A Trace, Shattered Glass, Criminal Minds, What About Brian, The Closer, American Dreams, Student Bodies, Crossing Jordan, To Kill A Mockingbird, Mother Courage and Her Children, The Little Prince, King Lear, The Famous Jett Jackson, among others.

Jessica, on why you’ll dig Jamie…

“Jamie is by far one of the funniest, smartest and most intuitive actors (and people) I know. He has that rare combo of a really unique, impressive presence and a relaxed approachability. I’m always so thrilled to work on and discuss performance with him. I’d trust him to help me with my biggest auditions and wordiest text.”

Jamie, on why Jessica rocks…

“What separates Jess from all the other smart, cute, talented actresses in LA is that she’s equally adept at delivering a heavy Shakespearean monologue as she is at making mediocre sitcom dialogue somehow hilarious. Having seen her perform on stage in some extremely challenging roles, and having played opposite her for three years on TV, I can honestly say that Jessica is one of the best partners an actor can be lucky enough to work with.”
